At Raw Studio, we’ve loved our collaboration with Bren, and a continuation of this partnership came with her new location called Bricks, co-owned with Fer. We’re thrilled to continue our journey together.

Bricks is a café that invites guests to slow down and explore new flavors. Co-owned by Bren and Fer, the space is inspired by Asian culinary traditions and design elements, creating a unique atmosphere that encourages connection. They focus on high-quality, homemade products like compote, jam, kimchi, and granola, carefully crafted to elevate simple ingredients. The community around Bricks shares their appreciation for authenticity and attention to detail, making it a perfect place for everyone to connect and explore.

Bricks was born from Bren's passion for wholesome food and Fer's dedication to crafting unique dishes. Together, they wanted to create a spot where simplicity meets exploration, embodying their motto, "taste and explore." Their ambition is to balance high-quality ingredients with subtle design while staying true to their roots and embracing creativity.

One of the exciting features of Bricks is the upcoming “V60 Yourself” experience, where customers can brew their own coffee. With the guidance of knowledgeable baristas, guests will have the chance to explore different brew methods, adjusting pour times and grind settings to perfect their routine. This interactive experience encourages a deeper connection to coffee, allowing patrons to engage with the brewing process in a way that brings ritual back to their café experience.


Bricks believes that this approach to brewing the V60 fosters a sense of community. It allows customers to connect over brew strategies and share tips, transforming the act of coffee-making into a holistic experience of connection and intention. It’s a mindful moment amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Recently, their filter coffee has seen great success, particularly with our Kii from Kenya. Customers have raved about this washed coffee, describing it as velvety, juicy, and crisp. At Bricks, they’ve paired Kii with fresh blackberries to enhance those currant fruit notes and even served it over ice—perfect for the warm Barcelona climate. 

To ensure a stellar brew, Bricks uses a filter recipe that calls for 65 grams of slightly coarser ground coffee with 800ml of water. Given Barcelona's notoriously hard water, they adjust their grind accordingly to achieve that pleasant fruitiness. They brew with the MoccaMaster KBGT, which has impressed them since opening day. Its simple design offers consistency and maintains optimal temperature, making it an ideal choice for their coffee needs.


We have enjoyed our collaboration with Bren and Fer as they establish Bricks. Our partnership continues to flourish, highlighting our shared commitment to quality and community.
