Ibrik (Turkish Coffee)

Brewing in an ibrik is one of the oldest and most traditional ways of preparing coffee. Finely ground coffee is gently combined with cold water, then brought to heat until it begins to rise, releasing deep, aromatic flavors.

The result is an intense and textured cup, rooted in centuries of coffee culture, yet offering a new perspective when paired with La Cabra’s carefully sourced beans.

Ibrik Coffee Guide

1. Use a fine, almost flour-like grind. We recommend 10g of coffee to 120g of cold water.

2. Place both coffee and water into the ibrik, stirring gently to combine.

3. Set over medium to high heat. As the brew begins to foam and rise, remove it just before it reaches a boil.

4. Pour directly into a small cup, including the fine grounds, which settle at the bottom.

Enjoy a rich, aromatic, and traditional cup, with the unique texture that defines ibrik coffee.
