Their work has changed our perception of the potential of Burundian coffee, and created new expressions of its strong terroir characteristics.
Mutana
The first coffee is from the Mutana hill, a washed lot with complex character of redcurrant, apricot and rooibos tea.
Bumba
The second coffee is a returning favourite from the Bumba hill, a natural lot with soft jammy berry character and a dark chocolate finish.

Last month we released our first lots from the Sagastume family, our partners in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras.
The Sagastumes have been involved in coffee in Santa Barbara for over a century, long before the recent recognition of the potential of the area. We visit the Sagastumes each spring, touring each of their pockets of land, and observing their work in processing, some of the most organised and professional we saw on our trip. Last month subscribers could enjoy both a bright and crisp Parainema, and and a sweet and juicy SL28, both produced by the Sagastumes.
