Cairo Faleiros Figueiredo
Cairo Faleiros Figueiredo is a fourth generation coffee producer. Coffee has been in the family since 1915, when his great-grandfather began growing coffee in Alta Mogiana. The family over time remained dedicated to quality through expansion, investments, and innovation, passing these values down to each subsequent generation.
Fazenda Nossa Senhora de Lourdes e Santo Antonio
It wasn’t until 2020 that Cairo was able to begin coffee production on his own farm in Alta Mogiana, Fazenda Nossa Senhora de Lourdes e Santo Antonio. The property spans just over 29 hectares, and as is stipulated in Brazil, only 13 are dedicated to coffee harvesting, leaving the rest as reserved nature.
This means native trees, growing in their natural habitat, allowing for greater biodiversity and preservation of native ecosystems. Cairo’s farm is planted solely with the Red Catuai variety, one of the most popular for producing volumes of quality coffee in Brazil.
One of Cairo’s leading principles on the farm is environmental preservation, where the reserve and coffee areas are tightly wound together, meaning coffee grows among native vegetation contributing to the coffee’s quality, and reducing the amount of chemical additions required.
This lot underwent natural processing, leading to a typically Brazilian profile, with deep dark chocolate followed by toasted pecan and maple richness.
