East Africa
For this month's subscription, we've selected two contrasting coffees. Though the two countries are neighbours, they each represent a distinct tradition in flavor, farming, and coffee culture.
Arbegona
Arbegona is a naturally processed lot grown by smallholders around Shantawene in the Bensa district of Sidama, Ethiopia, with notes of peach, apricot, blueberry, and delicate florals.
Kii
Kii comes from the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga, Kenya, and is a washed coffee with bright acidity, fresh redcurrant, and the depth of black tea.

Last month's coffees
Last month we were exploring coffees from Guatemala, one of the birthplaces of the specialty coffee industry.
Both of last month's coffees showcased the range and traditions that have shaped Guatemalan coffee. Las Flores de Cafe with its notes of soft red berries, sweet dark chocolate, and ripe citrus acidity, and the washed Pacamara from Antonio Medina at La Colina with the classic flavour profile of the varietal: tropical stone fruit.

Our roastery sends you two distinct coffees each month. With our Rituals containing two 250g bags you’ll get a bag of each coffee. With four 250g bags you’ll have two bags of each coffee.
Expect that once in a while you’ll receive 200g bags of something really special instead of the usual 250g.
You can customise your subscription; changing the amount of coffee, the shipping frequency, skipping shipments, all direct from your dedicated subscription portal.
Your coffee subscription renews automatically each month. Prepaid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period. You can easily reschedule shipments or cancel from your account.

I’ve received Potosi in the past, and most recently Ethiopia Rumudamo and Kenya Kii. The balance between washed and natural coffees offers great variety.
Free shipping to South Korea was the biggest deciding factor for me.
The packaging (coffee bag, individual box, sleeve, and shipping box) feels slightly over-packaged. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems yet, but it seems a bit vulnerable to water damage if caught in rain during shipping.
