This month we are sharing two examples of the fast moving coffee growing community of Huila. Many developments we see in Colombian coffee have their roots in Huila, where a community of smallholder producers uphold excellent quality using both traditional and modern methods.
Huila
Coffees grown in Huila are highly prized for several reasons. The mountainous terrain provides high altitudes and varying microclimates, leading to a diverse flavour spectrum throughout the area.
Monkaaba
We built this lot of high end Pink Bourbons together with the Monkaaba project, produced by smallholder members in San Agustin, Huila.
Luis Edgar Camacho
We have worked with Luis Edgar Camacho through our shared connection with LaREB for several years, and his fermentation results in a clean yet full expression of Pink Bourbon
