About

The Coffee Cupping Spoon is used for coffee cupping, a standardised method for tasting and evaluating coffee.

In cupping, coffee is brewed directly in the cup before the crust is broken and the surface skimmed prior to tasting. The shape and depth of the spoon support consistent sampling across multiple cups.

Used daily in our roastery for selection and evaluation, it forms part of how we assess coffees for clarity, balance, and overall expression. The same process can be applied at home.

Evaluating coffee
